MEET THE BABES

Thomas Russell (he/they) is a born-and-raised Chicagoan fight choreographer and actor.  Working with Babes With Blades has been a dream of his since college, and he’s happy to have not only choreographed for their Fighting Words Festival in 2023, but to have also performed in their production of The S Paradox in 2024.

Other acting credits include The Wonder (Eclectic Full Contact Theatre, Rancy U/S), The Legacy of Sherwood Forest (Littlebrain Theatre, Guillermo/Guy), and every summer at the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire since 2022. He’s choreographed violence with local colleges and high schools, the Illinois Shakespeare Festival, Midsommer Flight, The Gift Theater, and TimeLine Theatre Company. They’re incredibly grateful to The Babes for bringing them into the fold to keep making art and swinging swords, and they look forward to whatever cool shows they get to do next!
