Elyse Dawson is a theatre artist from Dayton, Ohio, where she received her B.F.A. in Acting at Wright State University. After training in stage combat during her final year of college, she sought out a company that would allow her to continue her training and was immediately enamored with the Babes. During her time as an ensemble member from 2014-2018, she performed in L’Imbecile, Titus Andronicus, and Patchwork Drifter. She is proud to have served as Co-Artistic Director along with Kathrynne Wolf from 2016-2018. She directed the Jeff Recommended production of The Promise of a Rose Garden and had the opportunity to write, direct and help with rebranding the company during its 20th anniversary. While in Chicago, Elyse shared the stage with many companies including Oak Park Festival Theatre, First Folio Theatre, WildClaw Theatre, and Otherworld Theatre Company. She has since relocated to Nashville where she graduated from Nashville Software School as a certified Web Developer. She is still spreading the mission of Babes With Blades Theatre Company and cannot express enough gratitude for her Babes in arms.
